About me

My family, somewhere in Italy, 1980.

I love this photo taken of my family
on my first trip to Italy in 1980. I think
it is cool that everyone is wearing stripes except me. I especially love
my brother’s socks. Actually, the
socks are the sole reason I posted
this photo.

They say that all roads lead to Rome.
Well that’s where I’m headed. Whether I make it there is not something I can forsee but I get excited just thinking about it. I don’t claim to be a writer but I’m going to try to keep you entertained with my observations and travel stories. I hope I take a few nice snaps as well.

The following song has been my mantra over the past few years and has given me the strength to plan
for this trip. Thanks Bob.

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but
by the moments that take our breath away”.
– Thanks Shel.

  1. This looks great Deanna. Can’t wait to read about all of your adventures in Italia! We are a travelling tag team! I miss you already

  2. I love the photo too. It is very typical of the European dresscode. And love your sandals also. So now and so in vogue! Enjoy your Italian adventure and look forward to reading all about it!!
